Governor Egay Tallado Profile Governor Edgardo Angeles Tallado or “Egay” as he is more popularly known is the third child in the brood of five from Sitio Limatik in Brgy. Canapawan Labo, Camarines Norte. He is married to Josefina Asis Baning and a proud father to an only child, Alvin Jerome.

Egay finished his elementary education at Canapawan Elementary school in Labo and graduated in High School at the Camarines Norte College. He completed his Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering from the in Manila.He worked his way to College by selling “saba”, "camote" and even worked as a laborer in a hollow blocks company back in Labo. After graduating in College, he took on a job with the Philippine Postal Corporation and eventually established his own construction company, Vinhar Construction & Marketing in Sta. Mesa, Manila.

He ran for public office and became Vice Governor of the province in 2004. He ran for the Gubernatorial race after and was declared the winner by COMELEC three months before the end of the then administration. In 2010, he was elected Governor and since then, under his exceptional leadership, CamarinesNorte has attained economic prosperity and is slowly erasing its stamp as one of the poorest provinces in the Region from the records of NEDA.

Last October 2011, the province was given the DILG’s Gawad Pamanang Lahi award for demonstrating exemplary performance in administrative governance, social governance and environmental governance that greatly contributed to the national prosperity and consistent with the constitutional objective of “quality life for all” worthy of emulation.

Governor Egay continues to provide commendable service to the society with the principles of humility, integrity and transparency as his guide. Together with the people of Camarines Norte, he lives by the tag line “Bawat Cam NorteƱo, Bayani at Marangal”
